  • Кто ж так паяет?!

  • @krononomikon would be harder and ic socket for smt if you dont have the right tools

  • Soldering really isn't that hard. These IC chips can sometimes be a beotch as you don't want to bridge the pins together but as you can see, he's got this down fairly well as it didn't take him long to do this. Chips that have smaller legs you leave for a SMT machine to handle. Reworking this kind of crap is a pain in the ass sometimes. Heat transfer when he's wicking is what makes it easy for the solder to transfer to the IC pins. Im no expert but I worked for an electronics company for 2 years

  • where is the audio explanation?

  • SPARKFUN!!!! our favorite local electronics company here in colorado. gotta say, we love em, they're great. period.

  • if heat is a problem, you can always just use IC sockets, right? :)

  • let me try to understand what is going on, and please correct me if I'm wrong, because I have never done this:

-the copper strip (I think it is) is heated with the soldering iron

-when the copper is hot, the solder is melted against it and pushed up against the pins

I'm just confused, because I thought that solder could be a conductor - will it short it out if the solder is like a solid strip from one pin to the next?

  • 1st paragraph... agreed!

But i didn't say that * i * can do it better. Maybe i can and maybe i have seen others soldering much much better.

Sparkfun is a manufacturer. But you have mistaken the words manufacture and assembly. I critisized the soldering part and only that.

Lastly, in a previous post of mine, i made a joke saying that the chip is now (potato) chips. I can send you with pr.message a video showing prof. soldering if you wish.

    Regards!

  • Sorry, I mistyped the last statement. This video was made by an electronics manufacture. I'll venture to bet they've a good idea what they're doing. That is what I was trying to say.
