The pneumatic rail lift allows the raising of a rail section supporting very heavy loads. Mainly used in gravity rail systems, it is generally used to move an empty trolley from the rail of a lower level, lower it to the loading point and then raise it to the higher rail from where it is then released to start its long run along the inclined rail (gravity rail system).

Very often used in laundries to lift large bags of soiled clothes, Planiform uses pneumatic rail lifts for various industrial applications.
