What appears to be a modernist style lamp is actually a sphere of candle wax with a lightbulb cast into. When lit it casts a beautiful light but within hours is reduced to a puddle of wax, a process which is both birth and deathlike, tragic and uplifting. Organic, transient, unpredictable and ultimately dangerous it is the antithesis of the modernism it apes.
