Can Captain Ponting reclaim the Ashes with the oldest test side in cricket history? The original Dad's army show that age is not necessarily an obstacle to performance.... With a guest appearance from the late, great Fred Trueman.

  • It seems Australia needed their Dad's Army; without them they've lost the Ashes.

  • Reminds me of the war quite realistic.

I was asked to umpire at Woolwich and I wanted to go wrestling so stuck my finger in the air every slightest chance thinking they would never pick me again.

The next week they asked for me as I was so "fair" even for my own side to be out.
