The Eastern Sea - The Austin Sessions Online Exclusive

It takes filming a band to push me into going to the State Capitol. YAY politics!? This session has been my favorite so far. The Eastern Sea consists of witty, fun guys playing enjoyable music. From curious Asian men following us to youre not dead resonating off the capitols walls, we had a successful shoot.
Luckily, it stopped raining when we started and it didnt rain again until we were done. We thank the music gods. Their third song, filmed as we walked away from the capitol, included an accumulation of fans (and the Asian men). You would never guess I was telling them to slow down from behind the camera in fear that we would continue shooting the song and walk right onto Congress Street! What a scene!
Tourists who came to admire the capitol definitely picked the right day. How many times do we get to see live music from a great band for free on rainy day in the heart of Texas? Okay, probably more often than youd think. But all in all, the atmosphere was lively, and considering the mass mugginess in the sky, we enjoyed ourselves very much.
