Since the revs drop after lifting off the pedal it goes into the next gear so if you set off in 1st into 2nd lift your foot off and it will sound like a manual

How do those Allisons behave when you put them in 3,2, & 1? Does it lock into that gear, or does it shift up to that gear?

@uwtitanfan It'll shift up to the gear you put it in.
3rd. It'll shift, 1, 2, and 3.
2nd 1 and 2 only.
and so on.
