  • Whenever muse does anything that uses the same intervals in the harmonies, same type of scale or type effects as queen, everyone says "Too much like QUEEN!!!" Why?!! No one ever listens to Citizen Erased and says"OMG RACHMANINOV RIP"In The OOS, there are segments that are the exact same as some of rachmaninov but no one seems to notice or care.Queen kicked ass,no one has been able to do their style well since.Muse can, give them a break because this style sounds awesome and no one does it anymore

  • @panthersfly nicely put, there's a couple sections of space dementia that are pretty much identical to rachmaninov, but no one ever complains about that. music almost always has traces of its influences evident, and there's nothing wrong with that; if anything, muse deserve a lot more credit for synthesizing their influences so effectively in an original manner.

  • @ScarreCrow Plus Muse tells us/gives in about influences and elements. They've also said they're a band that uses old elements, aswell as new ones. Being honest about that makes it totally up for me already :)

  • YES The extra riff is totally Brian May-ISH, it screams Brian May style and so what ?

Muse are the Queen of the XXI Century and that's the best compliment possible.

  • Hearing this for this first time...another MUSEterpiece.

  • Where is this from? Was this actually mixed for 5.1 officially or did someone just try do do this using the stereo version?

  • riffage ;)

  • @Grog85 defiantly matt ;)

  • @Grog85

yes its like the "whoo" at 2:27 :)

  • @panthersfly Rachmaninov represented what Muse used to be about which was emotion and genuine personal issues, that's an entirely different entity to 'tongue in cheek' music like Queen, as Brian May put it.
