That was a perfect display of the way String Bands use to perform! Beautiful costumes, Mummers Music and choreograhy. It doesn't get better than that! Nowadays for me, it is to theatrical, too many props, to many musical changes,too many different costumes in the same band and less Old School String Band Music. Give me this type of performance and check out "!989 Ferko Strutters Ball." That is a Mummer String Band at its Best.

Probably a little too early in the lineup that day to contend for the top spot but great job-they left judges stand as two bands-not many would dare to even try that-but that's Ferko-class!!!

Really good show be Ferko. I love Bill's captain suit. Musically as always very strong. For me, a top 4 finish in a very competitive 1983 string band division.
