I was very pleased while demonstrating flower carving at a show, when one of our American cousins proudly proclaimed "ah, a Hobo Flower". To date I had only ever heard them referred to as "Gypsy Flowers". Sadly, all she could remember about them was, Hobo's during the Depression in the 40's would be selling them as a source of income on their vagabond journey. So, nothing new there them. Gypsies throughout Europe would have sold them on their travels - Nice to hear the story though.

  • I like making these as well, because they do not take long to make.

  • Nice video - is that a svante djarv knife?

I like the music - what is it?

  • Thanks for commenting. It is indeed a Svante Djarv Knife. The music is an old track by Ry Cooder - memory fails me as to which one.

  • Yes I do. You can also get good results using Alder cut the day before.
