I have to say, If I were to pick one, I'd go with BMW. BMW has more diversity in terms of design, and they are usually a lot more fun to drive. The M3 will always be the best, no matter of the Merc C230 or the Lexus IS-F. I can't say I CLEARLY favor BMW's or Merc's, they both have Pro's and Con's, but for now, BMW forever!!

lol NS8998 first of all you must prove it that mercedes was the first manufacturer with these things.and second the most of these you said is not so neccessary as if you are good driver you dont need ESP. now technology and things have change before mercedes was better ok but now bmw is better. and the last for bmw fans see the video about the awards on engines bmw has 37 and mercedes only 2 (im waiting your answer :P)

you say mercedes copied I drive! mercedes is the reason we have cars today. mercedes was the first car with ABS, air bags ESP ,crumple zones 3point seat belts, pre safe, a clutch, gear box supercharger, safety cell dieseal child restarnt system airbags cooling fan full injection crash sensor, i could go on but i think my point is made. every car company has used mercedes technology on their cars so how can you say mercedes copy BMW. BMW a good brand but merc is the reason for all cars. HISTORY

i agree with italdesign908 and dfgawrade bmw is better from mercedes. mercedes copied i drive from bmw and did command, bmw now has connected drive and can surf internet and many other things.but i dont agree with what other say like bmw is for young and mercedes for old , both have and luxury and sport cars and are for all people :)

if you are talking about design BMW is much better but if you are talking about comfort , power and technology mercedes is so much better
