Agatha disappeared for 11 days in December 1926. To this day nobody knows what happened.

  • Saw this on TV over the weekend. Great movie.

  • What happened was that her husband, Colonel Christie, left her for a younger woman. She was terribly upset, perhaps to the point of temporarily losing her mind. It was later discovered that she had registered at a hotel under an assumed name and lived there during the time she had, supposedly disappeared.

  • This film "Agatha" is a gem. The theme "Close Enough For Love" is arguably one of the loveliest songs I've ever heard. This is one of those "perfect little films" that cannot be missed. FIND IT and RENT IT! Redgrave (as usual) is sublime.
