Chen like some of DOTA 2 heroes are still unique in terms that they let you micro manage none hero and non ancient creeps. You may actually have to practice by playing WC3 ladder matches to improve playing with Chen.

@CohenSadleir Dota 2 is in Beta Phase right now. You can get Keys to play it in some pages like playdota.com or other Dota related ones.
