My friend Brian was to play in a recital, so he asked me to turn pages and pull stops for him.
So here is the practice, the piece sounds good, save for a flub at the beginning, and a phone buzzing in a pocket during the fugue.
I've always liked this piece, one of Bach's more famous organ works. Brian plays it very well.
The organ is Martin Ott opus 89, II/22, located in Aurora Illinois. Its a little gem!
Sadly of course, my memory card fills up , cutting off the last 30 seconds of the piece.
Here is a link to more info on the organ, which I absolutely LOVED!

  • we almost bought a Martin Ott for our church, but alas our poor balcony could not hold it. So we bought a Rodgers instead, which will be pipe and digital...

  • I learned on a Martin Ott, they are the best. I play on an Allen at the church I am currently playing for and it cannot beat an Ott.

  • yes they are! The room seats 800, its quite large for a 22 rank organ to fill, but this instrument is not used accompany congregational song.

I loved this little gem, it was a joy to play!

  • Those acoustics are just to die for!!!
