AMD A8 Dual Graphics BF3 test

AMD A8 APU + HD6670 running BF3.

I finally got it working with BF3. I can't run fraps, and I have to run it in a 'fullscreen window' or it crashes. But settings are as shown and it feels perfectly smooth and responsive.

I'm expecting a fix for these things eventually. But in the meantime it looks like I'll be able to play BF3:) Srry for the quality, but recorded on the iPhone again, the screen looks great IRL.

I'll try and do an video of it on a 64 player server as soon as I can.

@KiNGKizARU- Unless you have a seperate 'physical' GPU you won't have Dual Graphics. If you did it would also show up in catalyst manager under the system info tab as a 'linked adaptor'. Sounds like yours only has the APU.

Hmm, not sure if trinity *will* be GCN now, some leaks say it is, some say it's not, some say it uses a mix of VLIW 4 and GCN features. If it is VLIW 4 then it's probably going to be a 6000 series card again, not 7000. Bet meh, if it works and gives a decent boost like the A8/6670 does, it will be pretty good either way.

@savagemessiah82 - Nope, nothing confirmed yet, just rumors on various tech websites and forums. Would make sense though I guess as trinity uses GCN, and the lowest 'proper' GCN card will probably be the 7770 ? But again, it's all rumor at the moment.

@WhatASUSA43sCanrun- Sorry, I have no idea. Apart from some sound glitches from the game itself (BF3 is notorious for sound issues) I've not had any problems with sound. Some people using HDMI say it's sometimes better to dissable the onboard sound and only use the graphics card output. That's all I know.

@funkydonkey11051989 - Yeah, I'm interested in the A10 Trinity APU too. If it has 50% faster iGPU than the A8 *and* does Xfire with say a HD7770...well, that plus a watercooler might just be my next build :)

@IHunger4Battle1 - I've tried my rig with BF3 64 player multiplayer. You can see it for youself. Just look for my other videos. Think you might be surprised at how nice it is :)

@KiNGKizARU Well my english is bad so i can only try to explain. Well if dual graphics in this case means that you use you're inbuild graphics card and you're other graphics card. The APU and the 6600's does support each other so that's why it's called dual graphics. BUT notebooks doesn't have that it's just a fact AT THIS MOMENT.

@Haawser how do i get one with dual graphics cuse i have a laptop not notebook and i see hps with dual but i dont know if they sell them new anymore cuse i was on hp website and didnt see any dual graphics on the amd sticker. it woulds say in the red box QUAD CORE AND AMD DUAL RADEON GRAPHICS. but i dont see those stickers anymore u know y?

@Haawser how can u tell if u have dual graphics? i have a 700$ toshiba a8 3520m with 6620g and thats all it says in the divce manager so im not sure if i do or not.
