to make a pun and to add a double sense ... and that is just the beginning of the song if you see what i mean...

So IMHO, I think you shouldn't learn french with Mylene songs, unless you already have a very strong knowledge of french ;)

@levlowell For exemple, I can try to explain just the title to show you how complicated it is : "am stram gram" (it could be written also "ams tram gram" or "amstramgram") are the first 3 words of a sort of typical french lullaby !

they have no real sense in french, they are just used like you could say "1, 2, 3" for the rythm in the beginning of a lullaby !

@levlowell well btw Mylene is using a high-level french vocabulary, and she's also playing a lot with words, like a good french writer could, so you would have different ways to understand her lyrics.

That's why it's very complicated to explain, even to some french natives... :/
