@bobbannerman A social stigma? Really? We had a UK guy over here who was a proud memeber of the order of the sealed knot IIRC, an English Civil War unit--can't recall if Royalist or ROundhead :-)
If they do teach guilt, it's a shame.

Really excellent work!!! Is this the Battle of Monmouth?
-
No Bayonets and no ramrods since a few fellows left their ramrods in the guns and fired, sending the ramrods like spears thru the air.

no, he is an hessian fron the Hessen-Hanau "Erbprinz"Regiment. This regiment has the same Uniform as the prussian Regiment Nr. 12 (the Erbprinz was the Chief of this two Regiments)

-
wait wait at 6:29 is there a prussian grenadier?

Holy CRAP, Bayonet charge without fixed bayonets? D'OH !
It's astonishing to think that you guys across the pond get such a fantastic turnout numerically at your events, reenactment here in the UK holds a social stigma that makes it very difficult to recruit members.
If our schools didn't preach guilt with regards to British history then perhaps we could put on such a show for the public.
Anyhow I digress, great vid guys
