This is is nice:) I'm singing this as well for my class voice/solo ensemble. I do have some tips for you, I think you should work on your vowels, make them darker like instead of the A sounding like the one in cAt try using the vowel aw. As nice as it is to smile during a performance, I would suggest putting all the emotion into to your eyes because smiling can make it sound a little nasally. Keeping your abdomen tight also helps to keep the flow on all those long phrases like 'saaaave' lol

@litaraquel I think so too. This was after about 8 months of voice lessons... then I switched teachers and suddenly got much better, lol.

Wow--good for you! I am a Public School music teacher and I think its great you decided to take lessons and sing this in front of people. One of my students found this because she is singing this piece for a college audition. Good for you!

@TheJazzcat2004 Thank you! This video is over a year old. I've come so far since then! Thanks for the support and good luck to your student!

Nice! I just crossed the 18 month line of vocal lessons as well - and am singing the same song!
I don't know if you sing all kind of songs but as a purely classical singer my tip for you is: Vocal balance. Never (!!) smile widely, especially not when singing an E or an I. Always make a pouting mouth and form an O or A, no matter what vocal you are actually singing. The tongue determines the vocal, the mouth just gives it the right "frame" and makes it sound neat and smooth.
