Serbia, on the 24th February 2012, accepted that Kosovo is a independent country and not part of Serbia. (Footnote)
So all this talk about "Kosovo is Serbia" is rubbish because Serbia HAS accept Kosovo as a independent country.
Kosovo was never Serbia, and it never will be.

UCK never took a single base of Serbian army during the nato bombing in 1999. There was one occasion where serbian army had to withdraw to a secondary position due to massive nato bombing of the area and albanian attacks. This line of 20men held out against 400 UCK for 48hours until they had to withdraw. Then next morning they retook the position. UCK and NATO made NO TERRITORY gains during the war! as the matter of fact the entire operation was a military failure.
