Sonocine - Sonogram Results for Breast Cancer Detection

SonoCiné, Inc is a privately held medical technology company that has developed an innovative, patented, investigational imaging process, SonoCiné. At present, the most important investigational use of SonoCiné is computer-guided ultrasound whole-breast cancer detection. The SonoCiné breast cancer detection process collects 2,000 to 5,000 permanent ultrasound images from throughout both breasts and optimally presents these images for later radiologist review on a high-resolution monitor. Although SonoCiné is still undergoing clinical evaluation, data to date suggest that when used with mammography, SonoCiné whole-breast ultrasound may reduce the chance of undetected breast cancer and the necessity of radical or invasive treatment through early detection.
