probably a stupid question but when u preorder an item that is reduced by £8 or whatever, do u pay the discounted price or the original???

Best Buy can't do 1-yr contracts. Three different stores in Southern California told me this. $269 for 1-yr.

If you order on Verizon's web site they give you the rebate instantly. Also for $20 they will have it to you by Saturday. If you don't want to pay the $20 you will get it Monday.

I have a couple question, first of all what if have a problem with the phone can i return it at the verizon store even if I purchases it at best buy. And how much does it cost if I do a 1 year contract at best buy ?

Not sure on the 1 year... probably $299 or $249 in that range. You have 30 days to return it!
