In May of 2010, the Wilmington and Western hosted their annual Pufferbelly Day. This is where ALCo 4-4-0, #98 (the last of her kind still in existence and operation) and Baldwin 0-6-0 #58 doubleheader 2 trips to Mount Cuba Picnic Grove. For this special occasion, Delaware Train Videos has once again paired up with ETS Productions to capture this historic event. In this video, you will see angles not captured by the common railfan. You will also see the rarely used PRSL Parlor Car #6795 which was chartered for the 2:30 trip. And the biggest addition for the day is the newly made MDwhistles Logging 3-chime mounted on locomotive #58 for its test trial. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of doubleheaded steam in the Red Clay Valley.

  • Wow, how do you get to these spots in time?

  • @boberttrain831 Well,

1.) I choose my spots carefully so I could make these spots.

2.) I had my bike to get to one of them

3.) I had another camera crew out chasing.

  • That whistle on #58 sounds a lot like the whistle on Texas State Railroad #300 in the movie "Steam Through the Piney Woods" by Pentrex.

  • As loud as a steam engine can be, they can also be really quiet, like when they are coasting past and all you hear is the dynamo. Sometimes I get tired of infernal combustion's constant throb.

  • @wwrr98 Oh, I see. Well, that explains it then
