Rob Bell's recent interview in the April 2009 issue of CT (Christianity Today) left a lot to be desired in terms of biblical content. In particular, Rob's answer concerning how he would state the Gospel using the Social Networking tool Twitter was a sad indication of just how far he's moved away from the traditional, historic, Christian doctrines and the Gospel in particular. Christians today need to go back to the God of the Scriptures, and hold fast to the faith that has been once for all delivered to us. Workmen of the word need to boldly proclaim the true Gospel, not this "doublespeak" that Rob claims is the Good News.

  • explain thermodynamics in less than 500 words. here lies the issue, are you giving a full gospel message? or are you giving half a story?

  • You guys had that leprechaun in a tree a few years ago... back in 2005

  • @Shadowlooker12 Where was the term "Calvinism" ever mentioned? If you want to discuss biblical soteriology then you must understand that it is either synergistic or it's monergistic. Biblically speaking, it's all God's doing ergo it is monergistic. If man has the final say in the matter (synergistic) then that means that there is something about the individual that is either smarter or more humble that he chose God and others did not.

  • @gtrjunky You should understand that, Calvinism makes God the author of sin -_0, if your christian, be a nondenominational Christian, Just a Christian who reads the bible in context, saved by Grace alone not works but does right, follows scripture and prays. When you mingle in what others say is biblical, it ends up being wrong, half truth is no truth. watch?v=j1_7e5xPBAc Calvinism is a not accurate biblical understanding.

  • @gtrjunky you remind me of those people who sell comcast, they got all the answers but none of them are correct.

  • @tbw980371 It is a dead end conversation because everything you've said is DEAD!

  • @gtrjunky I'm done talking to you which is why I didn't reply. And I think your well aware that I have stated more than once that I wasn't planning on giving you a "devastating blow" to your faith. This is a dead end conversation because you have a complete misunderstanding of my intentions.

  • @tbw980371 Have you made any progress to that "devastating blow" to my faith yet, or was that it? Was that your big "zinger"? LOL!!!

  • Rob Bell is sharing some Great News, but it isn't the kind of Good News Protestants want.

  • @tbw980371 I'm still waiting to hear where the bible teaches the principles of the "dialectic synthesis"? Oh I know that term didn't exist but certainly Jesus taught this principle by whatever name right?
