Makye Ame Restaurant. Two in Beijing, one in Lhasa and one in kunming. This is the Disneyland version of the videos and pictures from up in the mountians in the Tibetan region. The Yak butter tea actually had sugar and milk in it. Interesting music and instruments as well as some nice dancing.

  • owned by Tibetan man named Tserang Wangchen, from Amdo. He set up the first Makyeame restaurant in Lhasa-this was only a small restaurant. now there are bigger versions like this one-there is a 1 and 2. a very large palace in Kunming-this film is filmed in Kunming MakyeAme. there is also one in Shanghai. all are Tibetan owned and run. the food is tibetan, nepali, indian.

  • Who owns this Restuarant? and thanks for putting this into context.
