Pro Tools: How To Split Frequencies Using Sends | WinkSound

Auxiliary sends can be used to split and adjust specific frequency ranges of an audio signal. These are used when routing effects such as parallel compression. In this tutorial Audio Engineer Matthew McCorkle from EqualSonics.com explains how to use sends to separate and independently mix the attack and low end of toms. This technique is demmonstrated using Pro Tools but the principal applies to all music production softwares.
