hello, i have a wifi hotspot for my customers, and i have a neighbor that i would like to share my internet with but he is about 500ft away, is there anyway to share with him so he can have a hotspot around his home? thanks!

Most offices have a public hotspot as you have shown and a private wireless network. Since your connecting the hotspot device to your only cable connection how would you also set up a private wireless network?

How about making your cabling tidy? Or just generally focus on the aesthetics of things? Eternal friggin sadness!

you can use a wireless bridge and you can buy the hawking teck bridge and then put a directional antenna on the sma connection.

@theredpopripple, Now this is the best question i have heard in along time... Look for a router like fonera or look for a public/private router. but i would have to say a fonera with dd-wrt,openwrt and possibly tomato would be your best bet and the most cost effective. i do know that cisco makes a public/private router. The other option is to use two seperate routers.Fry's you can pick up a frys branded router for 20.00 and 30 for one that supports wireless N. the frys routers are made by d-link.
