It makes me cry so much.

Maybe this is like all those inspiring sayings of Socrates, that they've gone into tradition from students repeating them, and no-one can find an original source: it's no less inspriing for that! One day when there's nothing more important to do I can redo the video and put 'attrib. Fritz Perls' ...

@emrechopin I would also like to know whether this really is a poem made by Perls. It definitely fits into the philosophy behind Gestalt Therapy, but I can't find any source for this poem which subscribes it as being written by the hand of Perls himself. Can someone provide me with such a source? I would really appreciate it.

Is this really by F. Pers? Because I havent seen it in any of his books or anywhere related.

A briliant poem.

perchè esiste ancora una disciplina criminale, chiamata psichiatria, che punisce l'errore, (e anche ciò che errore non è), sulla base di criteri di puro conformismo?

You are doing wonderful things, David!

"Friend, don't be a perfectionist. Perfectionism is a curse and a strain. For you tremble lest you miss the bulls-eye. You are perfect if you let be. Friend don't be afraid of mistakes. Mistakes are not sins. Mistakes are ways of doing something different, perhaps creatively new. Friend don't be sorry for your mistakes. be glad for them. You had the courage to give something of yourself. It takes years to be centered; it takes more years to understand and be NOW."
Frederick Perls
Thanks David!

I'm just outlining the harmonic structure of a much-loved Swedish folk-song, the tune comes next time around, the whole piece is on the CD "Summer Music by Lake Leaf-Sea": today it's sung to a hymn text, 'Bred dina vida vingar' (='Spread your broad wings over me') dvds-cds dot new-renaissance dot com
