  • I still get goosebumps every time I hear this. I am an American, but I am very proud of my heritage from the Maritimes. What a beautiful marriage of language and emotion Shane!

  • This poem sends chills down my spine!

  • Proud to be from Canada! Beautiful work, Shane.

  • This made me proud of Canada. And I live in America.

Shane Koyczan is beast! I didn't know he was this big of a deal to actually get to do this! Amazing!!! If you liked this though, you should check out Tragic Turn of Events/Move Pen Move by Shane Koyczan (the epic dude speaking here) and Dan Mangan. Both Canadian, both extremely talented.

  • I listened to a lot of Koyzcan's poems...and I just found out that he was Canadian and that he did this performance...I remember watching this performance and I thought it was great, I didnt have a clue that it was Mr.Koyzcan, I'm proud to be Canadian!

  • I FINALLY FOUND THIS!!

  • I love this poem!

  • @boater4ever was holding a torches too ( best moment of my life)
