There may be some level of truth to this video, but if you really want to do physics or teach, I suggest you understand the harsh realities (enumerated in the video), then make a rational, informed decision. Remember though, it is your decision to make and there is nothing that says you wouldn't be one of those 5 people who gets a tenure-track position. I want my PhD in Physics... Maybe I'll get one one day.
