Well, "dude", there's no wrong with being "gay". I've got "gay" friends, and they're perfectly fine people. Don't use "gay" as a pejorative.
And yeah, grow some balls. CARE ABOUT THE MEANING. This song is just all about the angst, and equally about the irony. The lyrics aren't there to fill space, they're there cos they mean something.
Cut this crap about "not caring about the message".
The message is there, and it's fucking great.
