A very good and true Documentary about Wal Mart! Wal-Mart: The High Cost Of Low Price is a feature length documentary that uncovers a retail giant's assault on families and American values. The film dives into the deeply personal stories and everyday lives of families and communities struggling to fight a Goliath. A working mother is forced to turn to public assistance to provide health care for her two small children. A Missouri family loses its business after Wal-Mart is given over $2 million to open its doors down the road. A mayor struggles to equip his first responders after Wal-Mart pulls out and relocates just outside the city limits. A community in California unites, takes on the giant, and wins! Producer/Director Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films take you on an extraordinary journey that will change the way you think, feel -- and shop.

  • It's your $ - DON'T SHOP THERE! Otherwise you are contributing to economic cannibalism.

  • I've only been to Walmarts once, I didn't ;like it and I haven't gone back, probably never will. Not my cup of tea.

  • I think people would not mind slightly higher prices for products to be manufactored in the Usa.

  • @canufi I am sure others will chime in

  • @leanlifter1 it may have higher total crime rate in vancouver but "One of the worst violent crime rates in Canada. Vancouver's murder rate for 2009 is, right now, double that of Seattle's and triple that or Portland's."

  • @canufi More to it than that for instance Seattle has a higher crime rate and lower population than Vancouver.

  • @leanlifter1 USA has more crime than canada due to higher density population, yes

  • @canufi In my small town in Canada there has never been a mugging or jacking ect in the parking lot and even in the City that has the biggest crime rate per cappita in Canada there has never been a problem. I think this is a systemic American made problem because if one lives in a big city like L.A., NY, Seattle, etc theres bound to be Social problems in the parking lots ect. This is a Socioeconmic problem that goes far deeper than just Wal Mart.

  • @leanlifter1 in this video it says if walmart hired golf cart security people it would stop assaults in the parking lot. I don't know of a single mom and pop shop that hires these people to protect its customers. Criticism of walmart is always one way criticism and not objective. Mom and Pop computer shops order stuff from china every month too.

  • @leanlifter1 how about Apple iPod sweatshops and the environmentalist liberals who think Apple is great.
