    The shuttle reaches a top speed around 17.500 mph, the speed record for manned spaceflight is held by Apollo 10 with 24.800 mph during reentry.

  • @mtnlogistics I'd give 5 years of my life to experience that. What a ride that must be. Dig it, the guy said they were going a thousand miles an hour.... my God..... ANd re-entry, they are doing what, almost 17,000 MPH? Wow.
