Before you use the word "chinks" to generalize about Chinese culture, go visit any slaughterhouse in your home country. If you care for life, is their a difference if it's hidden or out in the open? This issue is human cruelty to other forms of life. The difference between cultures are matter of degree.

Ever been to a Walmart? Or Petsmart? They keep betta fish in tiny cups as well. They cram tons of fish in a single tank and I constantly see dead fish being cannibalized by the other fish. I'm a huge animal lover and I don't think this is humane, but before you start making racist comments like "destroy the Asian race" take a good look at your own surroundings. Animal cruelty is everywhere, not only in Asia, so expand your horizons a bit before making insensitive comments.

its very convenient because some people are in a rush and they'd rather get the fish than wait for the fish guy to scoop them up helping one customer at a time. But it is still cruel as if you were stuck in a tiny bathroom that stinks with another guy all day long. I love animals, put the animals lives first before yours because they can only live a short amount of time and go no where in the world besides a glass box.

@cowyeow I agree completely. I haven't eaten meat in almost ten years, and everyone in the US usually gives me shit for it. But, eating a puppy. Now, that's just evil! I get it, because I love my dog more than 99% of the population. And I do however believe that dogs have more understanding and I guess just feel the betrayal more. But, yeah, go walk though a slaughter house and then give me crap for not eating it. I dare every American to.
