I'm going to have to disagree. Phil's accent isn't believable or convincing to me, and I'm american. Hugh Laurie on the other hand had me shocked. It took me almost a full episode before I realized that he wasn't american and I had seen him before [in Blackadder]

They just started airing Demons here in the US on BBC America. Rupert's accent bugs the hell out of me...not sure what part of the country he was aiming for, but he doesn't sound at all american to me.
