I got one of those today at BestBuy. A BestBuy associate recommended it to me. :3

@deathpunish2 All mics do, you just make the pc play the sound on a diffrent device or send it through a diffrent line (in this case to yourself)

@Zachdashack The static buzz is usually the sound of the motherboard which would explain why it went when you used the sound card. My old PC used to do it, when i got this new one i used the same headphones and no feedback :>

Seems the only fix I didn't try is plugging it into my sound card in the back of my comp. And it worked, no buzzy. But its a bummer because the cord isn't long enough to reach the back. Oh well, no annoying static buzz.

This headset interferes with my computer sounds, like. If i copy text or type i hear buzzing static sound every key. And if im in an application it buzzes, but not on desktop. Never had any problems with headsets but this one. Tried many fixes with no prevail, definitely returning these and buying a different brand.

Playing music in the background is a turn off because not everybody likes ur type of music meaning not everyone will want to watch the entire video due to that factor.
Just a thought

I had a logitech headset that connected through a USB port, I liked it solely because it registered as a separate device on the sound controller. For example I could have my speakers as default device and the logitech and default communication and skype and ventrilo would play on the headset while all else would be on the speakers. This would allow me to play music and listen to my conversation simultaneously. With this headset I cannot. Do you know of a program that may do it for this headset?

Im not gunna take audio advice from someone who has so much noise and bad mic quality

Hey just wondering, Does this mic allow you to hear your voice in the headset speaker itself?
everyone decides to make a review while listening to kings of leon.

hey man, my mic doesn't work(the headphones work perfectly), it's plugged straight into the mic (and headphones) port on the front panel of my pc. And they've been plugged in correctly. The mute is 100% not on and I don't know why it doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@NickTheVmaster have you gone to windows settings to see if the microphone settings are correct?
start-->control panel--->sounds

@XxTwiztdSkaterxX thanks, I've just gone through the control panel and done a full sound test and the mic works well. It doesn't seem to work when I play online though (Team Fortress 2/Counter-Strike on steam). Is the issue more with the compatibility with steam or something? Thanks again!
