@mossyvale Problem?
-
haha canadian miltary...still using artillery that we americans used in ww2.
-
Yeah, looking at it again, it's probably lower than charge 3! I seem to recall a standard charge was 4. @beerrunner81, I was only a reservist for a couple of years in the very early eighties, but I'm afraid I question your creds or your eyesight!
-
There WAS recoil (looked like about charge 3) the cartridge was full size (blanks were about 6 inches long & finally, a blank would usually result in a big smoke ring. That was definitely a live round. i fired these M101A1's in N.Z years ago. (If we didn't catch the cartridge as the breech was opened our BSM would threaten to kick us in the nuts!!) Great gun!

@beerrunner81 So true, so true. That thing will hit you in the nuts if it were a real round.
-
@brielainee that wasn,t an explosion that wwas just dirt being kicked in the air from the blank projectile
-
@brielainee I was in the Artillery for years, and when you fire the gun with live rounds
in them. You always get a recoil. If it don't do that, then it's a blank.
-
@brielainee If it had a live round in it you would see the gun recoil. So this is a blank.
-
@beerrunner81 clearly it is not a blank, you can see the explosion in the distance
-
this is my m.o.s. and i cant believe i get paid to do this
It is a SNIPING GUN mission so the #1, being a woman, is up on the vantage point observing the target while the 2IC is between the trails checking the gun and relaying orders. Canadian Gun Drill at its finest!!!
