i jut bought a tennesse walker, do all twh have that natural gait? i started training him and when longeing he just gallops and cant make him walk slow, he also faces me and stops, what should i do?

When longeing work with driving lines so you'll have more control. Continue to encourage "slow". Most all will have some kind of natural gait--this colt trotted when we started. Teach "long and low". Head lowered and relaxed start out walking and then gradually ask for an extended walk. When you feel the backend start to shorten up or the pace (lateral) leg movement start then slow back down and start extending the walk again.
