i think altering/bypassing U.S justice system - like guantanamo or execution without trial - messing with your constution which many people gave their life for protecting it.

But being american citizien is vague,your president is kenyan born man True Justice must be for everyone,.with couple keyboard input you can be non american.That can be done.You cant trust state for deciding enemies.

@schattenfaust Abraham Lincoln circumvented more Constitutional tenets in the timeframe of just the Civil War than the Bush administration did over the course of its entire existence.

Besides, these terrorists aren't American citizens. They're enemy combatants. Their treatment is dictated by the rules of international warfare, not American domestic policy.

@MrMattgreider Not really. Abe Lincoln arrested people without Habeas Corpus, and those people were US citizens. And he did the right thing, since many of these people were Confederate sympathizers.

@schattenfaust Actually, Abraham Lincoln arrested people without Habeas Corpus (Body of Rights) during the Civil War. And he did it not to foreign terrorists, but to American citizens, especially one Supreme court justice.

And I believe he did the right thing. Many people were sympathetic to the Confederate government. His fault was not of excess, but not going far enough. Otherwise, John Wilkes Booth would've been in jail by war's end.

so us living by American ideals when dealing with those that do not is unconscionable? The strong of moral fiber, live by their morals even when other do not, even when it is harder to do so. Her weakness of character is obviuos to any with it.
