Edward Tufte, professor emeritus of political sciences, statistics, and computer science, Yale University, and the leading authority on information design, discusses how drawings from the Middle Ages exhibit "graphical excellence." Melanie Holcomb, associate curator, Department of Medieval Art and The Cloisters Museum and Gardens, introduces the talk.

  • unexpected turn as in away from having anything to do with medieval drawings? Totally inappropriate lecture title. Tufte is great but this was just the same speech he gives anywhere.

  • This presentation took a completely different slant from what I originally anticipated...WOW!!! I love these types of unexpected twists & turns within the discussion of thought and design!
