In 2002 Darren and I spend several days of our vacation at the Côte d'Azur.
In the evening of our arrival we were both quite tired, but it was too early to go to bed already and in addition we felt very clearly that we still didn't have anything for dinner yet.
So we got into the car again and off we went to Ste. Maxime to make peace with our stomacks.

On our way back from the restaurant to the car we passed "Le Wafou", a brasserie with live music.
We decided to stay a bit and were looking for a table when suddenly Jim appeared and started to sing.

Darren and I looked at each other and we both thought the same: "What a voice!"

Jim's voice, his way of singing and his interpretation of songs got right through to our hearts.
Through all the years we have been listening to Jim now we have always enjoyed his versatility, being able to perform an enormous repertoire of more than 800 songs - all-time-favourites like "Last Resort", "Hallelujah" or "In the Ghetto", but also the current chart breakers.

Quite often we prefer Jim's interpretation to the original, e.g. those of the Chris de Burgh ballads like "Spanish Train" or "Crusader", Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" or the songs in his "Monte Carlo Night" programm.
