Just something I quickly made for fun after watching Dune. Not the best film I've ever seen, but as a fan I had to watch it for Sting's small role. Rawr.

The book is excellent, I dare say personal top 5 sci-fi, when it came out as a movie, it was during that weird era, when graphics weren't very advanced, and when there were little enough sci-fi work, making that classic theater dramatizations standard. Yes I understand why you find it silly, I however hold the opinion that the movie was quite good when it came out, and still is - though probably better for those who read the book in advance.

This movie was dreadful; were in not for the presences of Sting (yes, he was gorgeous) and Jose Ferrer (woefully under appreciated in his role as the emporer) it would have been even worse.

@ShereKhan77 Fair enough, but I don't watch those kinds of films. I have seen a number of David Lynch films but I cannot really enjoy them, they're simply too weird for me. I watched Dune with a friend and we just couldn't stop laughing, we thought it was ridiculous. I like Sting so I cut out his bits, but I didn't like the rest of the film much. I would still say it's one of the worst films I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of films.
