Mattie Stepanek Park Dedication

He was only 13 when he died, Rockville native, Mattie Stepanek. He lost his battle with muscular distrophy but won the hearts of millions. A spunky spokesperson who shared his poetry and his passion on Oprah, Larry King Live and even met with world leaders. I attended the dedication of a park where Mattie's work and his words live on.

I wish i could have gone to this event. I had to do something that day... =( I miss him so much. I knew him personally and his mother, Jenny, is such a great woman as well even though she lost every single child she had at a young age...
