  • does anyone know where the rest of this interview can be found?

there was another one of more with him talking about his amp and some some quirky blues riffs...

  • @jleu777 Bit late in replying, but the link for the original full-length video is in the info box. Just make sure you click on 'prefs' towards the bottom of the video window to set you birth date, otherwise the video stops after a few minutes.

  • No he didn't. Don't get used to rely on frets and tabulature. He plays it slow enough for you to hear the notes out by yourself. Try to find the notes by ear - one at a time if neccesary. This will greatly improve your hearing and your composing and improvisation skills. Music is an audible and a mental thing, it's got nothing to do with your eyes. You gotta learn to HEAR what you're playing instead of seeing it. We're rockers and not chamber musicians, and we're musicians and not painters.

  • one of the greatest thing about satch is unlike most guitarists, bad tone does NOT come with age! this man still has it and always will

  • @TJGuitarVids Makes sense for mechanics, but it still doesn't have anything to do with musicality.

  • @LOLPombaer

    Look up the McGurkin effect.

  • joe's the absolute best with the whammy bar

  • how sweet does it sound slow

  • Lord Voldemort

  • Some people were just made to do one thing and one thing only. Could you imagine Joe as your plumber or your lawyer? Of course not. This guy was born to play the guitar...and he does it better than anyone.

  • great!

  • His tone is just unreal.

  • Of course he's not going to explain how to play it step by step or give TABS. True guitarists don't need that anyway.
