Houston postman Jeff McKissack created The Orange Show in honor of his favorite fruit, transforming a neighborhood lot into amaze of walkways, balconies, arenas and exhibits decorated with mosaics and brightly painted iron figures.
When McKissack died a diverse group of art fans, including a wealthy heiress , a funereal director and members of the legendary Texas rock band ZZ Top, gathered to save the site and build on the dream, with arts festivals and national tours of important visionary arts sites. Featured in this episode is the Houston Art event of the season the annual Art Car Parade, and the newly restored and re-opened Beer Can House, which looks just like it sounds!
