Amazing! Do some more videos!

have you ever used the exterior color process and then optic twisted? been experimenting with the optic twists before i cap the starter bubble... been getting some interesting results as well.
-
right on, and yeah, usually when i do powder or frit i case it, for precisely that reason, which i guess is a good argument for use of the marver.

right on, i lean more towards the art side although i'd love a production job somewhere lol. I guess its just a matter of production stuff being quantity work. I like blocking to a sphere and then marvering, i usually do forms that are taller than they are wide, im very influenced by guys like brancusi and what not. Just awesome proof that there's plenty more than one way to skin a cat. keep up the good work man.

Ooh, I don't know how I missed it. It's beautiful and so is all your other work.
dude thats a sweet solo piece, but question, why your preference for the marver, over blocking the color twists back in? works either way, just curious as to why you chose one over the other

@Dierwolf2000 I have worked production for many years without a single wood block in the shop, It's just the nature of the beast.
If you do use the block be care full not to get ash marks on the soft colors that are protruding off the gather or chill marks fromthere being to much water in the block.
Thanks for posting a good question.

Great video!
I would have loved to see the finished piece after it came out of the kiln.
