TRMS: Rachel Maddow interviews "ex-gay" activist Richard Cohen (Part 01)

(12-08-2009) - HuffingtonPost: Richard Cohen claims he has helped thousands of people come out of ... homosexuality.

His work has drawn the ire of the LGBT community, and has also been used in Uganda to help justify an anti-homosexual movement that culminated in a legislative effort known as the "Kill The Gays Bill."

Cohen appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show on Tuesday to present his side of the story. He distanced himself from the Ugandan legislation, but continued to advocate his position that homosexuals can change their preferences.

@DogsneedpIeasuretoo Listen....I am talking about attraction, not sexual activity. Your sexual attraction determines later on WHO you'll have sex with. I was attracted to men at an early age. At puberty, as my body and mind grew and I learned what I liked, then and only then did I understand sexual activity based on attraction. Understanding sexual attraction and the attraction you have before puberty is completely different!
