That you even believe this very OBVIOUS urban myth speaks volumes about you. Get this, if he strangled a little girl and was deemed mentally insane he would have been institutionalized,he wouldn't be sent to prison.If he was stupid enough to brag about his actions he'd be sentences do death,no questions about it.If not he'd be sent to some particularly gruesome prison with brutal inmates who would kill him within days.

Last time I checked prisons are hardly resorts or even particularly nice places to spend the rest of ones life.For the convicted to lifetime that means mundane days,hard labor and a wasted life rotting in prison.You also seem to forget that a mere childmolester usually last about a month in prison before brutally killed by fellow inmates.A child murderer would be dead the minute he steps inside ANY prison.

And what happened to "thou shalt not kill"? Doesn't apply to us all??

It is unethical to let the worst-of-the-worst live & propagate both their bad genes and their philosophy. As far as the Bible goes-the correct translation has proven to be, "Thou shalt not murder." Murder is unlawful killing and if you actually read the Bible you would know that it is full of killing that was sanctioned by God.

murder is against the law, and the only rational explanation for this is that we believe that those people deserve to live on the sole basis that they are human beings, alive past a certain number of months after conception in the womb. no matter how you look at it that's the only definition for homicide. so the question is whether homicide is "civilized" even sometimes.

That argument doesn't hold up, because prisons are paid for by the taxpayers, that is, you and me. More importanlty, to me, by me. It is profoundly immoral that I am forced to pay for these criminals to be house and fed. Moreover, it is a myth that child molesters are all brutally killed by fellow inmates. There are thousands, if not tens of thousands, if not more, child molesters in prison today. There are only a handful of murders in each prison every year.
