Steam race. Thomas-Tank 65th birthday song & pension crisis on the Hampshire Alps (MHR)

Everyone sings, "Happy Birthday to you" as Thomas has his coal cake. Then Murdoch the Moron races Thomas and loses. He throws his token on the platform in disgust.

It's TT's 65th birthday but due to government pension restrictions he has to continue working until he is 80. His pension was lost in the Royal Bank of Scotland investment crisis. Will Murdoch's brother Rupert put this on Sky News?

Filmed at Ropley station on the Mid Hants Railway (MHR) during "Thomas the Tank" week August 2010. The MHR line is sometimes called The Hampshire Alps and also the Watercress Line.

Thomas is a tank engine who lives at a big station on the Island of Sodor. He's a cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome. He was created by the Rev. W. V. Awdry.
