yeah, I can't find it anywhere either! The Mercer cross was one of the best I've seen, hehe.

I agree with Alfredojack, thanks. I don't suppose that you have any more of this trial footage. Black's cross examination of Ann Mercer was one of the greatest crosses ever, and I've always wished that it was on youtube. I cant' find it anywhere. Great post!!

I have some more of the closing but it's not as punchy. I didn't see the cross of Ann Mercer. Some of the trial was very tedious -- the endless photo's of bruises and talk of how yellow proved they were old bruises, the dress showing no tears or grass stains indicative of violence. I imagine he grilled Ann about the absurdity of returning to the house of a rapist instead of going to the police and about Patricia calling him "Michael," her stepfather's name?

You're welcome. I haven't seen anything else on YouTube covering this. I like his earnest style and how he told the jury that the evidence -- no fresh bruises, no torn clothing -- did not support the rape thesis. He said "this evidence does not lie." Implying that people may lie, however, like his accuser. Good thing he confronted the anti-Kennedy bias up front and made it work in his favor. He convinced them with the line "absolute horror that could happen," I think.
