  • This video is painful to watch. What's the story behind it?

  • the runner really did sprain his ankle the swelling and the fall, are for real. He had to be rushed to casualty and the rest of the video kind of improvised around his absence. He made it back for the end of the shoot and you can see his crutches in some shots. - Darren

  • Oh, and the lyrics are lovely. And sad. "When you're tying back your hair/You have the prettiest of necks/All the angels broke my heart/Yes they really had a knack/Because I loved life so/And they didn't love me back"

So simple, so true, so honest, yet far away from embarrassing or pathetic. Thanks, Darren.

  • The actor playing the impulsive lover is really good. Reminds me somewhat of Jonathan Pryce. Does anyone have a name?

    Good video and great song!

  • Where was this filmed, please? The canal pathway looks achingly familiar...

  • voice kinda sounds crappy

  • Decent video but why is the lassie a munter?

  • There is a world out there where this was #1.

  • The CD single of this contained some great B-sides. Hello Kitten is still in my head all these years later!

  • I have John Peel to thank for Hefner

  • @pxiq I fucking love your spelling.

  • I love Hefner. I have loved Hefner since I was about seven or eight. I'm sixteen now and it's still my favorite band. One of my fondest childhood memories is of me jumping on my bed singing/shouting to Hello Kitten. I absolutely adore them.
