This is the debut footage of the newest installment in the horror franchise.

This is the trailer shown at Konami's 2010 E3 press conference with producer Davin Shatsky presentation included. Silent Hill 8 is the tentative title of the new SH being developed by Czech studio Vatra Games for the PS3 & XBOX360.

Tentatively called 'Silent Hill 8', this game has been confirmed for PS3 and 360.

Akira Yamaoka is confirmed as not composing for this game.

Aww they got rid of Akira Yamoka, now Silent Hill will mostly suck. Chinese/Japanese people makes the BEST games.

well I expect more from Silent Hill this time...personally, I DID like Silent Hill 1,2 and 3...the others weren't so good, in SH4 I didn't like the inventory system and the camera...SH: Homecoming had a nice "nightmare world-real world" transition effect BUT ruined it with the "cult guys" enemies and the "I'm gonna kick your ass" fighting style and I didn't play Shattered memories because it doesn't even call my attention...I miss the original Silent Hills DD: sorry for the long comment D:

@JustAtyper you are so right. Once origins came the games sucked. Silent hill 1 through 4 was good. But now. And they are changing the composer. White people mess up series. Well some. Like silent hill.

I feel like they've lost touch with the ability to make characters you can relate to. Not going to judge but you look at the way things have come. Part of the intrigue of say, SH2 was that James was an ordinary guy and through the monsters and the story you learn that he's not ordinary, but actually quite deranged. Now we've had a soldier who's murdered people in wars and a fugitive.. yeah, like we can't tell-something- is wrong with his past. Character discovery is almost dying in the SH series
